Kakariki with deodorant in his eyes?

Hi,
Looking for some advice. I have 2 kakarikis 1 male 1 female. My son has sprayed deodorant into the cage. I didn't see it but I'm guessing it has got their eyes as the females eye has swollen and the males obviously irritated as he's closing it over. I'm so annoyed. I have cleaned all the cage thoroughly and I immediately sprayed them both with lots of water to try rinse it out. Is there anything else I can try?
