Caged a Mistle thrush yesterday as It seems it hasn't learned to fly properly yet. Left it in the shade until night then brought it indoors. At dawn it started chirping so I put it back outside and it's family came to help, but realised it was caged so flew off. I'd left the door open but it didn't venture out, and it's family didn't vernture round to the open side.
So I propmpted it out and it flew up about a metre to my main patio and started chirping again until it's family came, then one...
